VETERAN Dogs 8 years or over on the day of the test

2. 4 November. 14 dog Novice Golden Retriever. Stapleford, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
The Northern Golden Retriever Association held a 14 dog Novice Stake for Golden Retrievers on 4th November at Holygate Farm, Stapleford by kind invitation of Stapleford Farms, Stapleford, and the NGRA team of guns.
The judges were Mrs. G. Hillier (A2280), Mr. D. Barnes (B2197), Mr. G. Dobb (B2244) and Mrs. M. Banasik (NP4068).
We had a full card of dogs running.
1st Lucy Mixture – Rothaygarth Aira of Kaliture
Winning the Boltby Trophy for the Winner and The Millennium Trophy for the Youngest Dog in the Awards

3. 11 November 14 dog Novice AV Retriever. Hy-Fly Game Farm, Preesall, Lancashire.
Result of the of the Northern Golden Retriever Association Any Variety Novice field trial held on Monday 11 November by kind permission of hy Fly Gam Farms and the support of the NGRA team of guns.
Judges were Graham Bird, Wayne Skett, Philip Smithies and Mike Nelson
Sadly the ground and weather defeated the dogs and we achieved no result
Bill Emms was awarded the Leageam Trophy for Guns choice with Labrador Dog Lonicerium Mace.
4. 12 November. 14 dog All-Aged A/V Retriever Hy-Fly Game Farm, Preesall, Lancashire.
Result of the of the Northern Golden Retriever Association Any Variety All Aged field trial held on Tuesday 12 November by kind permission of hy Fly Game Farms and the support of the NGRA team of guns.
Judges were Graham Bird, Wayne Skett, Mike Nelson and Andy Brook.

5. 16 November. 14 dog Novice A/V Retriever. Wheatley Hall Farm, Gainsborough.
The Northern Golden Retriever Association ran a 14 dog AV Novice Retriever Field Trial on 16th November, at Wheatley Grange Farm, Gainsborough by kind invitation of The Wheatley Grange Farm Shoot.
The judges were Mr. S Crookes (A1853), Mr. D. Haycock (A2624), Mrs. V. Waterfield (NP) & Mr. A. Sweeney (NP).
We had a full card of runners. The weather was very kind to us, and two drives produced the birds needed to complete the trial.
First Place - John Halstead - Shadowbrae Harry - Awarded the Esmoro Trophy for the winner
Second Place - Jim Christon - Routengill Ronan - lso winning the Aurea Tankard for the Guns' Choice
Certificate of Merit - Steve Burns - Tallamelie Sparkly Ring at Jollybrow - Also winning the Moscargrange Tankard for the Highest Placed PTA Member

The Annual inter club Golden Retriever team working test was hosted this year by the Southern Golden Retriever Society at Hurstpierpoint on 9 July 2023.
The NGRA were represented buy Anne Crookes running Moscargrange Elijah,
Gary Collier running Goosetree Shooting Star,
Dave Haycock running Montoux's Cecil
Karis Bakewell running Lanlwyd Moretti.
A good all round team effort culminated in the team gaining third place.
Well done to the SGRS for putting on an excellent event.
